Change in coagulation function and KL-6 in patients with COPD may be related to the course of the disease
Abstract
The study aims to preliminarily explore the change in coagulation function and krebsvonden lungen-6(KL-6) in patients with COPD. This study is a retrospective multicenter study conducted jointly by two hospitals in Sichuan. From January 2024 to December 2025, a total of 315 hospitalized patients diagnosed with COPD were collected. Clinical characteristics were recorded. multiple linear regression analysis of independent diagnostic factors for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease were analyzed. The ROC curve analysis and correlation analysis were done. Our study showed that the clinical parameters of patients with COPD have changed to some extent, mainly in coagulation indicators, KL-6, CRP. It was found that compared with healthy elderly individuals in the same age group, COPD patients had higher levels of KL-6, and KL-6 levels showed both positive and negative correlation with coagulation indicators. Large-scale studies are needed to validate these finding s and further explore the role of KL-6 in COPD.
